Adult Ministries provides a four-fold focus on Christian education, spiritual formation, leadership development, and education of new members.
Christian Education includes studies about the Bible, in theology and doctrine, church history, issues and ethics, and Christian living. Classes meet in both small group settings and lecture format, so regardless of your learning style and faith development, there's an opportunity for you!
Adult Church School Classes meet on Sunday mornings from 9:40-10:40 a.m. Check the calendar for various mid-week opportunities (e.g., Book Group, Theology on Tap, etc.).
Spiritual Formation includes workshops, retreats, and support groups (in the discipline of the faith) as members seek to be nurtured and transformed into the likeness of Christ.
Leadership Development includes training Church officers, committee chairs, and other leaders for better service to the Church and, through the Church, to the community.
New Member Education is an important aspect of adult ministries. Newcomers are offered information and understanding of the Reformed Christian faith as well as the life and ministry of this congregation. New members are encouraged to spread their gifts and callings to service within and beyond our church.
Westminster's Adult Ministries Committee also oversees the church library and support resources, the All Church Retreat at Mo-Ranch, and Presbyterian Women.
