Worship
Cry out with joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness. Come into God's presence with singing! For the Lord is a gracious God, whose mercy is everlasting;
and whose faithfulness endures to all generations.
Psalm 100:1, 2, 5
We gather for two services of worship each Sunday:
8:30 a.m. Weekly celebration of the Lord's Supper
11:00 a.m. Celebration of the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of the month
June 23, 2013
Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Worship at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.
Pastor: The Rev. Bill Clark
Sermon:
Scriptures: I Kings 19:1-4, 8-15a; Psalm 42-43; Luke 8:26-39
While each service enjoys its own style of musical expression, both services follow the order of Service for the Lord's Day, which includes reading of scriptures, singing of hymns, the gospel proclaimed, prayers of confession, intercession and thanksgiving, and the opportunity to respond with the offering of our lives and resources back to God.
Children of all ages are always welcome in worship at Westminster.
The nursery, located in Room 2 of the Education Wing, is available during each service for infants and preschoolers who may grow restless. During the 11 a.m. service, as a part of caring for its youngest saints, Westminster offers Godly Play for 3-5 year-olds. Godly Play begins at 11:15 a.m. in Room 13, and children may join at any time after the Passing of the Peace.
The Sacrament of Baptism is available to those who profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and wish to unite with the Church, and to believers who wish to have their children baptized.
